Ministry Of Commerce: Vietnam Textile And Garment Enterprises Strive To Realize The Independence Of Raw Materials

According to the people's daily on February 12, the epidemic has disrupted the raw material supply chain of Vietnam's textile and garment industry. However, many enterprises soon invested in the production of textile raw materials and accessories to meet domestic and export demand and meet the rules of origin of the new generation of free trade agreements.

In 2022, many international organizations believe that Vietnam's textile and garment industry is the industry with the best recovery opportunities, but the total demand is not expected to grow too much, and the countries competing with Vietnam's textile and garment industry are struggling to increase their export market share. Wang Deying, director of the Board Office of Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, said that since the outbreak of new crown pneumonia two years ago, in the reality of supply chain interruption in the textile and clothing industry, Vietnamese enterprises realized that ensuring the supply stability of domestic main raw materials was the "key" for sustainable development.

According to Wang Deying, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group has formulated the strategy of developing domestic supply chain from yarn, weaving, dyeing to sewing, with the goal of becoming a one-stop supplier for customers. From now to 2025, we will focus on the development of a complete yarn to clothing chain.
