According to the Statistics Bureau of Turkey, the CPI of Turkey Rose by nearly 50% in January this year, the highest increase in 20 years. For companies, Turkey's electricity prices are up nearly 130% from last year. Soaring electricity prices forced the town of babada in Denizli, Turkey ğ) Thousands of textile machines stopped working and workers lost their jobs.

"Now I'm losing an average of 20000 lira a month," said Balash, the owner of a textile mill in the babada region of Turkey. "The electricity price went up on January 1 this year. On the evening of December 31, when we learned that the electricity price was going to rise, we shut down the machine, and after that, it never started again. I fired all the workers, and now all production is stopped."

Balash is a textile mill owner in the babada area of Denizli Province in Turkey. He has 17 looms in total. Now these machines are idle in the workshop and have not been operated for two months. Four workers in the workshop have also become unemployed.

The main reason for the suspension is the sharp rise in electricity prices in Turkey. At the beginning of this year, Turkey's electricity price suddenly increased by nearly 130%, and the cost of textile industry in Pakistan soared.

"Last year, on average, I had to pay 15000 lira a month for electricity, and now I need 35000 lira. I can't make any money now, I've been losing money, and I'm not making a profit," said Balash, owner of a textile mill in Turkey's babada region

The reporter noticed that there was a lot of cloth that had been woven in Balash's workshop. Balash claimed that the cloth was 15000 meters long. Under normal circumstances, his cloth sales were very good, but now these fabrics have not been sold.

Due to factors such as rising electricity prices, the cost per meter of cloth this year has reached 13 lira, he said. The merchants who buy cloth now lack purchasing power and can only buy it for 10 lira. The local textile machine owners could not accept the price, so they had to shut down the textile machinery.

The textile industry is the most important industry in the region. According to local media reports, about 4000 textile machines in this region have been shut down due to rising electricity prices.

"We hope that the electricity price can be lowered. If not, we may sell the machines, and most likely I will end up here and go to the city," said Balash, owner of a textile mill in the babada region of Turkey

Outside the textile workshop in baresh, the reporter noticed that several local people were sitting and chatting. Some of them used to be workers in the workshop, but now the machine has stopped and they have nothing to do. One of them is Mustafa, 23, who worked here for two years and is now unemployed for two months.

"My brother-in-law (the boss) is suffering from the rise in electricity prices," said Mustafa, an unemployed young man from the babada region of Turkey Told me to stop work, he said he couldn't pay the workers, he also fired other workers. Now I'm unemployed, unemployed at home, no job, no income. As an employer, his brother-in-law has nothing to do because he doesn't make money. So I have nothing to do now. All the young people in our village are engaged in textile work, but now they are unemployed and no one in the village has a job. I don't have any plans for the future, I just try to live in the present. If I can find a job that pays on the same day, I can only fill my stomach. I can't plan for the future. "
