1、 Concept development of Internet and its platform

As we all know, the Internet refers to the global public network, which is composed of many interconnected networks. At present, the first generation of Internet Web1.0 refers to the early stage of the Internet, which lasted from 1994 to 2004, during which social media giants such as Twitter and Facebook appeared. It is mainly based on HTTP technology, which makes some documents on different computers open and shared and accessible through the Internet. Web1.0 is read-only. There are few content creators. Most users are just consumers of content. Moreover, it is static, lacks interactivity, has relatively slow access speed, and the interconnection between users is quite limited; The second generation of Internet Web2.0 is the Internet used since 2004. The Internet changed around 2004. Because of the development of the Internet in terms of network speed, optical infrastructure and search engines, users' demand for social networking, music, video sharing and payment transactions rose significantly, ushering in the explosive development of Web2.0. The content of Web2.0 is no longer produced by professional websites or specific people, but is jointly created and participated by all Internet users with equal rights. Anyone can express their views or create original content on the Internet. Therefore, the Internet in this period pays more attention to user experience and interactivity; The third generation of Internet Web3.0 refers to the next generation of Internet, which will be a new Internet form based on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology. Web3.0 is based on blockchain technology, and its biggest feature is decentralization. Blockchain technology has given birth to a new thing called smart contracts. It can not only record information, but also run applications. Applications that originally needed a centralized server to run can run. In blockchain technology, they can run themselves without a server center, which is called decentralized applications. Therefore, it is also called "Smart Internet", as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.

What is Industrial Internet? In short, it refers to industrial applications based on Internet technology, which connect various departments, equipment, logistics, etc. within the enterprise through network technology to realize information sharing, interaction and collaboration, so as to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize business processes. Therefore, with the development of the first generation, the second generation and the third generation of the Internet, there will be the corresponding development of the industrial Internet.

What is an Internet platform? It refers to a technical platform based on the Internet, which can provide various services and functions, such as search engines, social media, e-commerce platforms, online education, manufacturing services, etc. Therefore, with the development of the Internet in different times, there are industrial Internet Web2.0 and Web3.0 platforms. At present, the industrial Internet service platform used by the manufacturing industry mainly refers to the Web2.0 platform. The application of this platform has its advantages, but also has many shortcomings. Now all countries are moving towards the Web3.0 platform on the basis of the Web2.0 platform.

2、 China's Web 2.0 era work trade Development of Internet and its platform

China's industrial Internet has achieved large-scale development in the three systems of network, platform and security. By the end of 2022, the numerical control rate of key processes and the penetration rate of digital R&D tools in industrial enterprises across the country have reached 58.6% and 77.0%, basically forming a comprehensive, characteristic and professional multi-level industrial Internet platform system. At present, 35 key industrial Internet platforms across the country connect more than 85 million sets of industrial equipment, and serve 9.36 million enterprises in total, covering 45 major sectors of the national economy. New models and new forms of business such as platform based design, digital management, intelligent manufacturing, networked collaboration, personalized customization, and service-oriented extension are booming, which has significantly accelerated China's industrial digital transformation.

At present, the integrated application of industrial Internet extends to the key industries of the national economy, forming six major aspects: platform design, intelligent manufacturing, networked collaboration, personalized customization, service extension, and digital management, which has effectively promoted the quality improvement, efficiency increase, cost reduction, green and safe development of the real economy. Figure 3 lists the panorama of the development of industrial Internet in some industries and enterprises, including textile and garment manufacturing enterprises.

Figure 3 Panorama of Industrial Internet Development of Some Manufacturing Enterprises

The industrial Internet platform is a service system based on massive data collection, aggregation and analysis, which is oriented to the digital, networked and intelligent needs of the manufacturing industry, and supports the ubiquitous connection, flexible supply and efficient configuration of manufacturing resources. From an economic perspective, this has formed a valuable platform for industrial interconnection.

The value of the industrial Internet platform is mainly due to its three obvious roles: ① On the basis of the traditional industrial platform, the industrial Internet platform has improved the efficiency of knowledge production, dissemination and utilization in the manufacturing industry, developed a large number of applications of APP, and formed a two-way interaction ecosystem with manufacturing users. ② The industrial Internet platform is the "operating system" of the new industrial system. Relying on efficient equipment integration modules, powerful data processing engines, open development environment tools, and component-based industrial knowledge services, the industrial Internet platform connects industrial equipment, instruments, and products downward, supports the rapid development and deployment of industrial intelligent applications upward, and builds a highly flexible and intelligent new industrial system based on software. ③ Industrial Internet platform is an effective carrier for resource gathering and sharing. The industrial Internet platform gathers information flow, capital flow, talent creativity, manufacturing equipment and manufacturing capacity in the cloud, and gathers industrial enterprises, information communication enterprises, Internet enterprises, third-party developers and other entities in the cloud, forming a socialized collaborative production mode and organizational model.

On November 30, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued the "14th Five Year Plan" for Deeply Integrated Development of Informatization and Industrialization (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which clearly promoted the promotion of industrial Internet platform as a key project of integration of industrialization and informatization. From the perspective of physical system, the industrial Internet platform consists of network, platform and security. Its application in the manufacturing industry is mainly reflected in digital intelligent production, networked collaboration, personalized customization and other manufacturing services, as shown in Figure 4.

Figure 4 Physical System of Industrial Internet Platform

The benefits of industrial Internet platform services for manufacturing applications are much higher than that of general software and general industrial cloud, as shown in Figure 5.

Figure 5 Comparison of the benefits obtained by enterprises using industrial Internet platform services

The application of industrial Internet platform services in China's manufacturing industry can obtain quantifiable high returns, which can be expressed in terms of one plus one minus. For example, on the one plus side, the labor productivity can be increased by 40-60% and the comprehensive efficiency of equipment can be improved by 10-25%; First, reduce energy consumption by 5-25% and delivery time by 30-50%, as shown in Figure 6.

Figure 6 Quantified Benefits of Manufacturing Application Platform Services

At present, the main service modes of China's industrial Internet Web2.0 era include: ① the service mode of the external output platform of manufacturing industry leaders, such as the "Meiqing Industrial Internet Service Platform" integrating "manufacturing knowledge, software and hardware", Haier's industrial Internet service platform based on personalized customized production mode, Aerospace Group's cloud network is an industrial Internet service docking platform based on the integration and collaboration of upstream and downstream resources in the industry; ② Some industrial Internet enterprises provide software application service models for customers in the form of SAAS cloud platform. The products focus on vertical application development in various sub sectors, focusing on solving a pain point demand in the production or operation process of a large number of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises; ③ Create the service mode of the general PAAS platform, through which all equipment, production lines, employees, factories, warehouses, suppliers, products and customers related to the enterprise can be closely connected, and then share various element resources of the entire industrial production process, making it digital, networked, automated, and intelligent, and ultimately achieving enterprise efficiency improvement and cost reduction services.

Of course, we know that although there are many models, it is not easy to achieve success, because for each manufacturing industry, the things produced are different, the processes are different, the processes are different, the equipment is different, the channels are different, and even the business model and supply chain are different. In the face of such demand, it is unrealistic to solve all problems through a universal service platform. In the end, it will return to a high degree of customization, and an industrial Internet platform may be needed in every subdivided field.

3、 Intelligent garment manufacturing Web 2.0 Implementation on platform

In May 2023, the National Standard of Industrial Internet Platform Selection Requirements (GB/T42562-2023) led by China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute was officially approved and released. This standard first stipulates the selection principles and process of industrial Internet platforms, as shown in Figure 7; Secondly, it defines the nine key technical capabilities that the industrial Internet platform should meet, as shown in Figure 8; Secondly, it clarifies the 18 business support capabilities enabled by the platform for enterprises, as shown in Figure 9. The publication of this standard can be adapted to different stakeholders of the platform. It can provide platform building capabilities for industrial Internet platform enterprises, and it can provide reference for manufacturing demanders to select platforms, help enterprises evaluate the enabling level of industrial Internet platforms, and select their own industrial Internet platforms.

If the apparel manufacturing industry chooses a platform to serve the intelligent manufacturing of enterprises, it generally follows the process in Figure 47. The best architecture for implementing apparel intelligent manufacturing at present should be as shown in Figure 10, with good infrastructure layer, platform layer, application layer and edge computing layer.

Figure 10 Architecture of Garment Intelligent Manufacturing Platform

The above platform architecture is based on the industrial Internet Web2.0 platform. We have said in the past that garment manufacturing enterprises above the designated size should build their own Web2.0 platform, while small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises should rent platform services. In fact, this statement is not completely correct, Because the choice of self built Web2.0 platform or leased platform services should be determined according to the specific situation and needs of the enterprise, not just based on the size of the enterprise. Secondly, instead of using the industrial Internet platform Web2.0, manufacturing enterprises can still achieve intelligent manufacturing through other ways, such as using self built data transmission and analysis systems, or using other third-party platforms. But in comparison, the industrial Internet platform Web2.0 has higher scalability and flexibility, and can better meet the needs of manufacturing enterprises.

4、 Garment intelligent manufacturing will be based on intelligent internet Implemented on Web3.0 platform

From the above, we can see that the Web2.0 platform based on the industrial Internet has many characteristics: (1) high user participation - the Web2.0 platform allows users to participate and interact, so that users can share their own content and experience, interact with other users, and form a large community; (2) Easy to share and spread - Web2.0 platform allows users to easily share and spread information, thus expanding the scope of information dissemination; (3) Improve efficiency - Web2.0 platform can help enterprises improve efficiency, for example, through online collaboration tools, online meetings and other ways to improve the efficiency of internal collaboration; (4) Cost reduction - The Web2.0 platform can help enterprises reduce the cost of marketing, promotion and customer service, as well as the technical cost of enterprises. However, the Web2.0 platform also has many shortcomings: (1) security problems - the Web2.0 platform has security risks, such as privacy leakage, network attacks and other problems, which require enterprises to strengthen security measures; (2) Quality problems - The content quality of the Web2.0 platform is uneven, requiring enterprises to filter and audit user generated content; (3) The competition is fierce - the competition of Web2.0 platform is fierce, which requires enterprises to spend a lot of time and energy to promote and maintain the platform; (4) Network stability - the Web2.0 platform needs to ensure network stability to avoid affecting the normal operation of the platform due to network failures; (5) Web2.0 platform services have a certain monopoly, and the rental costs are high, which affects the use of enterprise users. Because of these problems, the Web3.0 platform was born.

Web3.0 is the next generation of Internet development, sometimes called "distributed Internet" or "intelligent Internet". At present, Web3.0 is still in the early stage of development, but it will rely on blockchain, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and other technologies to achieve more intelligent and decentralized Internet applications, so as to make data more secure, privacy more protected, and provide users with more personalized and efficient services. Therefore, the implementation of intelligent manufacturing on Web3.0 platform is different from that on Web2.0. The difference lies in: (1) Decentralization - Web3.0 platform realizes the characteristics of decentralization based on blockchain technology. This means that the intelligent manufacturing implemented on the Web3.0 platform will be more decentralized and democratic. Without a centralized control mechanism, each participant can own and control their own data without relying on a centralized platform or institution; (2) Data privacy and security - Web3.0 platform focuses on the privacy and security of user data. Blockchain technology provides encryption and decentralized storage features, making user data more secure. When intelligent manufacturing is implemented on the Web3.0 platform, it can better protect users' privacy and prevent data from being abused; (3) Trust and transparency - The Web3.0 platform achieves higher trust and transparency through mechanisms such as smart contracts. Smart contract is an automatically executed contract whose rules and conditions are encoded on the blockchain and cannot be tampered with. In this way, the intelligent manufacturing implemented on the Web3.0 platform can be more transparent, and participants can verify and audit the operation and transaction of the system; (4) Value exchange - The token economic model based on blockchain technology on the Web3.0 platform makes value exchange more convenient and efficient. The intelligent manufacturing implemented on the Web3.0 platform can exchange value through tokens to achieve more flexible business models and cooperation methods.

In conclusion, the implementation of intelligent manufacturing on the Web3.0 platform pays more attention to decentralization, data privacy and security, trust and transparency, and value exchange than the implementation on the Web2.0 platform. These characteristics have brought greater innovation and development space for intelligent manufacturing.

Web3.0 platform is closely related to the intelligent manufacturing of our garment manufacturing enterprises, because the essence of Web3.0 is an intelligent Internet based on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, which will provide more intelligent, efficient and secure technical support for intelligent garment manufacturing, thus promoting the rapid development of intelligent garment manufacturing. Specifically, the application of Web3.0 technology in intelligent garment manufacturing mainly includes the following aspects: (1) Data sharing - based on Web3.0 technology, garment manufacturing enterprises can realize data sharing among various equipment, production lines, employees, etc., so as to achieve more efficient production and manufacturing processes; (2) Blockchain technology - through blockchain technology, clothing manufacturing enterprises can realize the safe sharing of data, avoid data tampering and leakage, and improve the credibility and security of data; (3) Smart contract - Web3.0 can also realize automated and intelligent production and manufacturing processes through intelligent technology to improve production efficiency and product quality; (4) Intelligent Internet of Things - Web3.0 technology can realize the application of intelligent Internet of Things, enabling manufacturing enterprises to monitor and control various equipment and data in the production process in real time, thus improving production efficiency and product quality. Therefore, Web3.0 is closely related to the intelligent manufacturing of garment manufacturing enterprises. It will provide broader space and more intelligent, efficient and secure technical support for the development of intelligent manufacturing.

Conclusion

1. You will soon find that people complain more and more about the platform in the Web2.0 era, and finally choose to leave and join the platform in the Web3.0 era. Web3.0 is an era. Blockchain, digital economy, meta universe, NFT, DeFi, VR/AR, big data, AI, bionics, biology, cryptography, hardware equipment, new energy, immersion chamber and other technologies will all usher in high development and improvement.
2. The intelligent manufacturing for manufacturing enterprises built by the industrial Internet platform Web3.0 mainly realizes three optimization closed-loop: the closed-loop for the optimization of machine equipment operation; Closed loop for production and operation optimization; Closed loop for enterprise collaboration, user interaction and product service optimization.
3. The popularization process of Web3.0 is the process of the entire human migration to the digital world. Web3.0 has opened a new era, not only the network has a new look, but also it has the obvious characteristics of communism; Decentralized organization mode blocks the emergence of monopoly institutions; The storage and protection mechanism of blockchain ensures the specificity and security of wealth; The democratic and autonomous management mode ensures the openness and inclusiveness of ideas.
