The Launching Ceremony Of The Textile Industry "Carbon Footprint Logo" Certification Pilot Was Held In Keqiao, Shaoxing

On June 19, the textile industry "carbon footprint logo" certification launch ceremony hosted by Shaoxing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau of Zhejiang Province and Keqiao District People's Government was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing.

Since 2023, Shaoxing has added 34 enterprises, 77 products have obtained green product certification, and the number of certified enterprises ranks among the top three in the province. A number of green certification pilot demonstration areas and green product (service) certification enterprises have emerged.

Keqiao is the most representative textile industry cluster base in China, with textile production capacity accounting for about one third of the country and output value exceeding 200 billion yuan. China Light Textile City, the world's largest light textile market, has an average daily passenger flow of more than 100000 person times, selling a quarter of the world's textile products to more than 190 countries and regions, and the market turnover has exceeded 300 billion yuan. The use of carbon footprint, carbon labels and other key achievements is an important means to promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, promote the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and build a modern textile industry, and an important path to promote green and low-carbon development of the textile industry.

At the meeting, the local standard for carbon footprint of chemical fiber fabric products, an important achievement of Shaoxing's "carbon footprint" certification pilot project, was released. This standard is the first technical specification for carbon footprint assessment of chemical fiber fabric products in China, and will provide strong support for the development of Shaoxing's "carbon footprint identification" certification pilot project.

In addition, Shaoxing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, Keqiao District People's Government, Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen Hong Kong) Metrology Testing Certification Development Promotion Alliance Carbon Footprint Innovation Technology Committee, and Zhejiang Green Certification Alliance signed a strategic friendly cooperation agreement. The four parties will focus on the carbon footprint identification certification of Shaoxing's superior products, and jointly build a unified product category rule (PCR), We will jointly build and share the basic data set of carbon footprint of textile industry, and share the carbon footprint logo of the Greater Bay Area.

The relevant person in charge of the Keqiao District Market Supervision Bureau said, On the basis of the whole textile industry chain manufacturing in Keqiao District, the city and district level linkage will be adopted to explore and build a set of certification system around the demand of green and low-carbon development, which will help guide consumers to choose low-carbon and environmentally friendly goods and boost foreign trade enterprises to deal with international green trade barriers.
