Analysis Of China'S Textile And Garment Industry In 2020: Export Value Of Clothing Will Decrease By 6.4%

Textile and clothing are people's daily consumer goods. The market of textile and clothing industry can be divided into textiles and clothing. In the past five years, China's textile and clothing industry exports have remained stable as a whole. According to the customs statistics, in 2020, China's textile and clothing exports will reach US $291.22 billion (excluding 94 chapters of mattresses, sleeping bags and other bedding), with a year-on-year increase of 9.6% (in RMB terms, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%), close to the best level in history.

Textiles include yarn and other textile raw materials, knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, medical textiles and other finished products. Clothing, clothing accessories can be divided into men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing and so on. In 2020, China's textile exports will reach 153.84 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 29.2% (30.4% in RMB terms);

As a big clothing export country, China's annual clothing export amount exceeds 100 billion US dollars, which is far greater than the clothing import amount. In 2020, affected by the epidemic situation in major foreign markets, China's clothing export reached US $13.78 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 6.4% (in terms of RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 6.0%).
