The Trend Of Cotton Planting In The Mainland Slowed Down In 2016

Recently, the national cotton market monitoring system survey showed that

The area of intentional cotton planting continues to decline, and the cotton planting intention of the main producing provinces has dropped to a low level since 2005.

The national cotton market monitoring system survey data show that since 2011,

Stable in more than 30 million acres, the intention of cotton planting in Xinjiang in 2016 is basically the same as in 2015.

Specifically, in 2016, the total area of cotton planting in the country was 47 million 500 thousand mu, of which 9 million 326 thousand acres of the the Yellow River basin were intentional, accounting for 20% of the whole country; the area of the Yangtze River Basin was 7 million 94 thousand mu, accounting for 15% of the whole country; the northwest inland intention area was 30 million 514 thousand mu, accounting for 64% of the whole country.
