"Since 2011, the total scale growth of China's textile industry has slowed down significantly compared with the first ten years of this century, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry, jumping out of the country and accelerating direct investment in countries such as ASEAN." Wang Tiankai, President of China Textile Industry Federation, said at 18 Guilin in Guangxi.

Wang Tiankai made the above remarks at Guilin's first "ten forum" on the same day.

As a labor-intensive industry, low labor cost has made the "made in China" competitive advantage. It also made China the world's largest producer and exporter of textiles and clothing, with the most complete industrial chain and the highest level of processing support in the world. But in recent years, the status of China's textile industry is gradually being shaken.

Wang Tiankai said that the shortage of labor structure in China has become normal. The annual wage increase of over 10% makes China's human cost far higher than its neighbours, and its cost advantage is not. In addition, the constraints of China's textile raw materials are increasingly apparent, and the supply of high-quality cotton is seriously insufficient. Cotton prices have been higher than 30% of the international market for three consecutive years, and the development and application of chemical fibers are insufficient, and the processing technology of recycled fibers and the development of recycling channels are lagging behind. In addition, the problems of energy saving and emission reduction are serious, and the industrial layout and resources and environmental carrying capacity are not in harmony, leading to the development of China's textile industry since 2011.

Insiders pointed out that China textile industry In terms of brand marketing, compared with Europe and America, human resources are slightly inferior to Vietnam, Laos and India. In order to successfully transform China's textile industry, we must break the situation. Implementing sustainable development is an important support for the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry.

The world's largest general manager of cotton knitted fabric manufacturing and Export Co., Ltd. Cheng Peng I agree with this. He said that China's textile industry should transform from labor-intensive to knowledge intensive, and use information and knowledge technology to promote the development of productive forces. The era of "low price and low quality" is over. In the future, only high quality, cost-effective products can be more competitive.

In addition to strengthening internal technology and equipment upgrading, "jumping out of the country" has become a way out for many Chinese textile enterprises.

In recent years, Bosideng Driven by Chinese leading clothing companies such as International Holdings Limited, Ningbo Shenzhou and Jiangsu Dong Du, Chinese textile enterprises have begun to finance overseas capital markets, accelerate the layout of ASEAN countries such as Kampuchea, Laos, Indonesia and other countries, and set up order centers; and use the labor force resources of Southeast Asian countries, tax and cotton preferential trade policies, transfer some low value added clothing processing and production, use the management mechanism of collectivization and global resource allocation, thus obtaining capital, price, technology and other advantages, and realize the coordination and complementarity between overseas layout and domestic industry.

It is understood that from 2010 to 2011, China's textile foreign direct investment increased by 56.4% to 263 million US dollars. From 2011 to 2012, the investment growth rate reached 107%. Nowadays, more and more Chinese textile enterprises recognize the importance of "going abroad" and the importance of layout overseas.

Wang Tiankai said that in the future, the textile industry will also vigorously promote the "going out" of Chinese enterprises, overseas investment and construction of textile raw material bases, processing bases, R & D centers and marketing channels, effectively making up the weak links of the domestic industrial system, and promoting the optimization of the Division of labor in the global industry by expanding the allocation of transnational resources.

The first "ten forum" organized by Hongkong Yida group aims to build a platform for exploring the direction of China's sustainable development, and gather people and scholars from all walks of life to explore new models that are conducive to China's economic development.
