In November 20, 2008, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) decided to launch a 337 survey of Certain Active Comfort Footwear.

In October 22, 2008, Swiss Masai Marketing & Trading AG and Masai American company filed an application with the US International Trade Commission for a 337 survey of some American hiking shoes imported from the United States and in the US market.

The plaintiff alleges that the products involved infringe their patent rights and requires the US International Trade Commission to issue exclusion orders and injunctions.

The United States International Trade Commission finally decided to include the following enterprises as defendants in the case: (1) RYN Korea Companies; (2) Main d/b/a/ WalkingShoesPlus.com of Los Angeles (US) Company; (3) Feet First Inc. of Inc., company.
