With the approval of the Ministry of Commerce, the 104th China Import and Export Fair, which will be held in Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 15th to November 6th this year, will make important adjustments.

The exhibition period will be adjusted from one session to the three stage. The duration of each exhibition will be shortened from 6 days to 5 days, and October 20th ~23 will be the time to change the exhibition.

According to the analysis of the personages in the industry, the textile and clothing exhibition is moved from the first phase to the three stage, and the time is delayed for nearly half a month. This change is likely to cause the textile and garment enterprises to fail to complete the Christmas order in a short time, and there is a large number of "abandoning the single" phenomenon.

If there is a phenomenon of abandoning the order, I am afraid the loss of orders will be more serious.

China, neighboring India, Pakistan, Kampuchea, Vietnam and Thailand, may take the opportunity to expand the existing market share, which should arouse the attention of domestic enterprises.

Wang Junwen, deputy director of the Canton Fair and director of China Foreign Trade Center, said that the Canton Fair should constantly adapt to the trend of professionalization of the international exhibition industry, and solve the outstanding contradictions that the existing scale still can not meet the needs of Chinese and foreign enterprises exhibiting. By splitting the three stage exhibitions and expanding the scale appropriately, the fair will further enhance the specialization level of the Canton Fair and enable more enterprises to get the chance to participate in the exhibition.

The 104th Canton Fair is expected to provide about 50 thousand booths to accommodate more than 20 thousand enterprises.

In addition to maintaining the comprehensive characteristics and advantages of the Canton Fair, the area of the relevant professional exhibition areas will also expand, for example, the textile and clothing exhibition area will be expanded nearly two times than the previous area after the optimized combination.

According to the habits of overseas buyers and the practice of international exhibitions, the exhibition area will be rearranged according to the procurement objectives and exhibits, and will be integrated with international exhibitions and exhibition areas, so as to improve the specialization level of the Canton Fair.

Whether the exhibition period and the adjustment of the exhibition hall will directly affect the business development, the official said, the negative effects will not be great. On the contrary, the fixed exhibition hall is more convenient for buyers to purchase, the products will be more concentrated and improve the efficiency of procurement, and will attract more international professional buyers to attend the meeting.
