Students from Xihua University and Sichuan Normal University and more than 400 designers from Chengdu shoe enterprises compete on the spot to design 10 women's shoes for barefoot models.

Reporters at the design competition site saw that more than 400 participating designers were divided into 10 groups. Each group corresponds to a model, and the participants need to be modeled according to the model.

The contestants fluttered their paintbrushes and sketched a pair of women's shoes with different shapes on a piece of white paper according to the foot shape of the model. Pandas, Shu embroidery and other symbols with strong cultural elements of Chengdu became the inspiration for young women's shoes designers.

"This year, designers pay more attention to whether they are close to the fashion trend of the footwear industry. For example, designers can not imagine women's shoes in a casual fashion. They should design shoes according to the foot shape of shoe models and match the shoes' shoes, and at the same time meet the actual needs of the market."

He said that from the previous competition of young women's shoes designers, the quality of Chengdu designers has become increasingly high and the scale is bigger and bigger. This competition is the largest one. In the past years, many excellent young designers have also become the backbone talents in the field of footwear design in Chengdu through the platform of International Youth designers competition.
