Guangxi Beihai Institute Of Art And Design

Beihai Vocational Institute of Art Design is the only art and Design College in Guangxi, which is registered by the Ministry of education, enrolment for the whole country, and awarded the national recognition of academic qualifications (national code 13524).

The college is located in the southernmost city of Guangxi, a beautiful coastal city with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, Beihai.

The college is near the national famous Silver Beach, covering an area of 400 mu and a building area of 60000 square meters.

The garden style campus environment is elegant and quiet, teaching and recreational facilities are complete, apartment accommodation and living conditions are excellent.

During the third years' study and practice in Beijing, the students assisted in the completion of some courses by Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University. With the advantage of Beijing's political, economic, cultural and artistic centers, the students' horizons were broadened to provide students with opportunities to upgrade and employment in Beijing.

In 2005, the employment rate of our college graduates was 80% in Beijing, and 60% in Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University.

Professor Wang Guolun, vice president of Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, is responsible for the overall teaching of the Institute. You Shihua, Professor of returnees, is also the dean of teaching, and director of Department of environmental art and design. Chen Wei, a returnee scholar, is director of the Department of visual communication; Professor Zhang Dasheng, director of the Department of sculpture at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, is responsible for the teaching of sculpture and art design; the famous animator with 15 years animation experience is Professor Wang Jiping, director of the Department of animation art design, and is responsible for animation teaching.
