India Youth Clothing Costs 5000 Rupees Per Month.

A survey by the ASSOCHAM, a top industry body, said that

Nearly 35% of young people spend 5000 rupees a month.

  


The India Federation of Commerce and industry (ASSOCHAM) interacted with 2000 young people aged 13-21 and evaluated the clothing buying tendency of 10 urban adolescents (200 respondents in each city).

The 10 cities are New Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh.

The survey started in March to June.

  


DS Rawat, Secretary General of the chamber of Commerce, said today's teenagers show strong desire to express their individuality. They mainly buy their clothes with their own money.

  


Most of the respondents (65%) said they liked to go shopping with their friends. About 25% said they liked shopping alone, while only 10% said they liked to have family members to go shopping.

In addition, respondents said that most purchases were done after school hours in the evening or at weekends.

  


1000 of the respondents came from single parent families, 30% of them said that their monthly clothing expenses were 3000 rupees.

About 55% of respondents said their clothing cost was 2000-2500 rupees, while only 15% of respondents said they spent 1000-1500 rupees a month.

  


   

New Delhi

Teenagers spend more on clothing than other cities, and 55% of respondents say they spend more than 5000 rupees a month.

  


ASSOCHAM secretary general said fashion conscious teenagers, whether girls or boys, are more concerned about their appearance and are more serious about their clothes.

  


It is worth noting that most impulse buying is generated when browsing store goods.

In addition, the survey also shows that young people in India like new and interesting clothes, and they strongly like modern clothes and brand clothes.

  


Nike is the most popular sport clothing brand among young people, and 25% of the respondents agreed with the brand's quality control.

Adidas (20%) ranked second among sportswear brands, while the rest said they preferred Reebok, Puma, woodland (Woodland) and Fila.

  


In casual wear, Levis is the most popular brand, followed by Lee, Wrangler, Flying Machine, Pepe jeans London (Pepe Jeans London), diesel (Diesel), Spykar, K Lounge (K-Lounge) and cowboy jeans.
