The First China (Anhui) Original Fashion Design Competition Opens In Hefei

On September 20, the textile and clothing industry development forum of the 2023 World Manufacturing Conference and the first China (Anhui) original clothing design competition and award ceremony of the "Shibuli Cup" were held in Yaohai District, Hefei, injecting new momentum into the development of Anhui clothing industry.

As one of the important forum activities of the 2023 World Manufacturing Conference, the Textile and Garment Industry Development Forum and the First China (Anhui) Original Garment Design Competition are guided by the China Textile Industry Federation, sponsored by the Hefei Municipal Government, Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, Anhui Provincial Department of Education, and Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce, and undertaken by the People's Government of Yaohai District, Hefei City, and Wenyi Investment Holding Group. As the first garment original design contest in Anhui, the event aims to attract and train garment design talents through the forum and contest, stimulate and inject innovation and originality into textile and garment, and promote the transformation and development of Anhui textile and garment industry from manufacturing to fashion industry.

Model shows design works

The first China (Anhui) Original Fashion Design Contest took "Hui · Shang · Type" as the design theme, anchored the core of "Hui culture", and created a multi perspective Hui style beauty. The competition attracted more than 300 professional designers from many countries and regions, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Donghua University and other universities to actively participate. After layers of screening, about 40 new designers and 160 sets of excellent design works from the final professional group and college group were shortlisted in the final.

It is reported that in the competition, the professional group and the college group are evaluated separately. In the end, Fu Weiyang's "Dome Ding" won the gold medal of the professional group, Gao Jie's "Ink Emblem" and Xue Di's "Butterfly Change" won the silver medal of the professional group. The gold medal of the college group was won by Zhang Zhiheng and Zhang Jingjing in One Dream, One Huizhou; The silver prize works are Feng Lei and Cao Yinghong's Flying Dragon Rides the Cloud, and Wu Zhengxin's Han Clothes into Cloth; The bronze prize was won by Wei Ziying's "Emblem, Hidden in the Mountains", Guo Xiaoyu and Zhao Rujiao's "Lingshu, Plain Questions", Han Yu's "TREASURE" and other works.

In the forum segment, the high-level professional forum also attracted attention. The keynote speech "Charming Anhui" by Wu Xuewei, a fashion designer of the Golden Summit Award for Chinese Fashion Design, and the keynote speech "Analysis of Anhui Fashion Elements" by Chen Bin, a graduate tutor of the School of Fashion and Art Design of Donghua University, won the praise of the industry insiders. The new idea of leading the development of the textile and clothing industry with fashion aesthetics has brought new inspiration to everyone for industrial transformation.

In order to attract talents and talents, and promote the development level of Anhui textile and clothing industry, Yaohai District, where China (Hefei) Garment Original Design Base is located, will provide many policy supports for young designers participating in this competition and winning awards, including providing studios for award-winning young designers in China (Hefei) Garment Original Design Base in Yaohai District, Provide corresponding support for designers who meet the entrepreneurial policy; Designers participating in this competition will be recommended to join the "Talent Plan" fashion industry development project of China (Hefei) Fashion Original Design Base.

It is reported that on September 22, the "Jinmen Water Street Cup" 2023 Anhui Fashion National Professional Model Invitational Competition and Award Ceremony will be held in Jinmen Water Street, Wenyi Tangxi.
