As the global epidemic continues to escalate, fashion becomes a dispensable commodity and "chicken ribs", which is the first commodity that consumers in all countries reduce. The clothing industry suffered the most severe blow, sales cliff clipper fell, the mainstream market import dropped sharply. In the first four months of this year, imports of clothing from the United States and Japan decreased by 18% and 8% respectively, and EU clothing imports decreased by 15% in the first three months. China's share in the US, Japan and EU markets has decreased by 8, 3 and 2 percentage points respectively. Who will occupy China's share?


Vietnam? As the biggest winner, share in the mainstream market has increased. In the first four months, Vietnam's exports to the US were basically flat, and Japan's clothing exports increased by 6.6%. In particular, Vietnam's share in the US market is directly to China, which is only 2 percentage points different from that in China.

Bengal: No small gains. Bangladesh's exports to the United States have increased by 2% as the total imports of clothing in the United States dropped by 18%.

Cambodia: Although the scale is limited, exports to the United States increased by 19% in the first four months, and the growth rate was amazing. Exports to Japan also maintained a steady growth of 0.7%.

Burma: Exports are relatively small affected by the epidemic and are the only exporters to maintain growth in the three major markets. Before March, exports to the EU grew by 15.4%. Exports to Japan in the first 16.1% months increased by 16.1%, and exports to the United States increased by 46%.

Then Indonesia: 1 billion 530 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 8%, a share of 6.4%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the same period last year.

Then India: 1 billion 430 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 12.4%, a share of 5.9%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the same period last year.

Japan


In 1-4 months, Japan imported garments 8 billion 920 million US dollars, down 7.6% compared with the same period last year, and imports from China were 4 billion 750 million US dollars, down 12.5% from the same period last year. China accounted for 53.2% of Japan's imports of clothing, ranking first, down 3 percentage points from the same period last year.

Then Bengal: 440 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%, a share of 4.9%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the same period last year.

Then Cambodia: 410 million US dollars, an increase of 0.7% over the same period, a share of 4.6%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the same period last year.

Then Burma: 390 million US dollars, an increase of 16.1% over the same period, a share of 4.4%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points over the same period last year.

European Union


In 1-3 months, the European Union imported 22 billion 190 million dollars of clothing, down 9% compared with the same period last year, and imports from China were 5 billion 840 million dollars, down 14.6% from the same period last year. China accounted for 26.3% of the EU's imports of clothing, ranking first and 1.7 percentage points lower than the same period last year.

Then Britain: 1 billion 30 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 26%, a share of 4.6%, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
