With Wenzhou's "Red Dragonfly" leather shoes, Hu Xiaowu came to Urumqi and settled down in a small shoe town.


"Borrowed 200 thousand yuan, most of them are used to order, so I can't afford to rent the store in the shoe city."

With business, Hu Xiaowu began to study the market in Urumqi.

The same pair of leather shoes may sell at a high price of 500 yuan in the morning, but at night they may only sell 100 yuan.

"At that time, the colleagues in shoe city felt that I was doing this very strangely and felt that I was a poor boy who did not know how to" adapt ". Sooner or later, he would be swept out of the house.

But in fact, I gradually succeeded; although some consumers were questioned at the beginning, but later, as the brand awareness of Red Dragonfly increased, they gradually accepted it.


In April 1998, Hu Xiaowu opened the first store of "Red Dragonfly" in Xinjiang and became the general agent of "Red Dragonfly" in Xinjiang.

It was also in that year that he paid off debts he owed two years ago and accumulated about 2000000 yuan of capital.


From commerce to industry to finance


Since 1998, Hu Xiaowu has been expanding the scale of Red Dragonfly leather shoes. At present, there are 105 Red Dragonfly stores in Xinjiang.

But with the expansion of his strength, he was no longer satisfied with the trade industry and began to switch to industry.


In 2001, Hu Xiaowu set up a cotton processing plant in southern Xinjiang.

Buy local cotton and then sell it to downstream businesses.

In 2006, he joined hands with 9 Wenzhou people, who took the "land king" at the price of 110 million yuan near Urumqi railway station, and built a "land King international city" integrating shopping city, office building, hotel and residence on the "land king".


Now, Hu Xiaowu's action has turned to capital operation.

In the first half of this year, he has bought two large farms in southern Xinjiang.

Next, he hopes to promote the listing of forest and fruit enterprises through capital operation and become the Xinjiang forestry giant.

Hu Xiaowu is 38 years old. In the 14 years he came to Xinjiang, he was elected the top 10 outstanding young people in Xinjiang. He also donated 7 hope primary schools to the local community.

This year, Hu Xiaowu also invested in a government directed diversion project in Hami.

Investment of 270 million yuan, with a 135 km long pipeline, the Tianshan snow water to the south slope of the Tianshan Mountains, can solve the problem of drinking water and industrial water in Hami.
